Some doc for the Publications web

New publications:

  • Create a topic per publication. The easiest consists in typing the name you want to create in the Go: form above, and enter. Then, on the next page, click on Create in the frame below. But be sure to read the next line!
  • Use a topic name such as YYYYMM-Conf (where YYYY and MM are the year and the month of the Conference), because publications will be sorted by topic name in listings. For instance YYYYMM-Seminar, but do not use 8 digit dates.
  • Each publication topic should start with %PUBLIHEADER% and be followed by the abstract and any link to related pages or files. The WebTopicEditTemplate is used to setup a skeleton each time you create a new topic.
  • Fill the PublicationForm that appears at the bottom of edit page as most as you can. This will be used to generate listings, and %PUBLIHEADER%. Note that the field from the form are output as-is. It's your responsibility to supply strings like "In the proceedings of".

Variables:

  • LogoTopic contains the logo used for the articles and shows their variable names. (For instance %LOGOIMA% will display Image processing/Pattern recognition.)
  • TWikiPreferences defines these variables and many other (such as %PUBLIHEADER%).

Listings:

  • You can grep all the topic in Publications to generate lists of article. This is how pages like Papers, TechnicalReport, and OralPresentation are generated.
  • You should do this using TWiki's %SEARCH{...}% function. * See TWikiVariables and FormattedSearch
  • TWikiPreferences defines many shortcuts:
    • %BIBFORMAT%: how to format a PublicationForm in a listing, use this in the format argument.
    • %BIBOPT%: search options useful to display a list of articles (with match on content)
    • %BIBTOCOPT%: search options useful to display a list of articles (with match on topic name)
    • %BIB1OPT%: search options useful to display a single article
    • %BIBREACCEPTED%, %BIBRESUBMITTED%, %BIBREINCONF%, %BIBREINJOURNAL%, %BIBRETECHREP%, %BIBREORAL%, %BIBREAUTHOR%, %BIBREKEYWORDS%: various regex to use as search strings (or part of search strings).
  • If you want to match several values in your regular expression, make sure you do it in the same order they are listed in PublicationForm.

Examples:

  • We use
    limit="3"
(see TWikiVariables) to keep the examples short, but you probably don't wan't this on a real page.

  • The last three articles accepted in a conference
